Russ is the director of Me to We projects. His hard work was instrumental in making Me to We: Turning Self-Help on Its Head a number one bestseller. Russ was one of the sparks behind the creation of the Canadian Living Me to We Awards and he has been vital to its success. Outside of his Me to We duties, Russ is a seasoned facilitator with our sister organization Leaders Today, having lead trips to Kenya, trained youth through the Volunteer Now! program and at our global leadership academies.
A master in the art of management, Russ is a business graduate from the University of Ottawa. With a well-developed passion for team leadership and communication Russ had his first taste of teaching as instructional assistant for three of his school's introductory business management courses. No slouch, this Prince George native attended classes full-time, managed thirty-five teaching assistants, taught another thirty students per semester and still had time for a good night's sleep! Russ is also one of the initial creators of the School of Management's Career Center and is currently publishing a textbook on the business case study method.
His passion for development work and world issues stems from his teaching and his overseas travel experience. Russ has spent time in Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, and Kenya; a long way from northern British Columbia!
